Fresh Tomato Salsa
This fresh salsa is best with heirloom tomatoes, but make it with any tomatoes you have, just as long as they are ripe and juicy. Just chop the veggies, mix, and allow to sit for 15 minutes or so before serving. Start with a little jalapeño and add more to your desired heat level.
This is another fresh salsa that is so easy to make and easy to adjust to your liking. Adjust the heat up or down with chilis and cayenne. Use parsley instead of cilantro if you don’t like cilantro, or leave it out altogether.
Ingredients
1 large heirloom tomato, cored and diced (about 1 cup)
Juice of 1 lime
¼ c onion, white, red, or sweet, finely diced
½ t cumin
½ cup sweet pepper any color, finely diced
½ t smoked paprika
¼ to 1 whole jalapeño pepper, minced
Salt to taste
Handful of chopped cilantro
Instructions
Step 1
Chop and dice everything, put in a bowl, and stir in the lime juice and seasonings. Taste and adjust seasonings to your liking.
Step 2
Allow flavors to meld for 15 minutes or so. Serve with tortilla chips.
